Community Health Service:
Our Homeless Community Care service is designed with a profound understanding that everyone deserves access to quality healthcare, regardless of their housing situation. Serving the Silver Spring, Maryland area, we offer primary care services to individuals and families experiencing homelessness, alongside specialized homeless medical respite care. This approach ensures a continuum of care that addresses both immediate health concerns and long-term wellness.
Position Details:
- Type: Full-time or part-time
- Schedule:
- Full-time: 4 days per week in-office and 1 day work from home (1/2 day virtual care and 1/2 day administrative tasks)
- Part-time: Must work a minimum of 3 days per week, including two half-days providing community care within the homeless shelters that the practice is affiliated with, with the remainder of the time spent in the clinic.
- Experience Required: Comfortable with chronic and acute care management, with experience in women's health preferred. New resident graduates are encouraged to apply.
Qualifications:
- Certification: Board-certified in Internal Medicine or Family Medicine, or board-eligible within two years of completing residency.
- Licensure: Must hold an active Maryland medical license.
- Skills: A team-oriented approach and genuine passion for patient care.
