Specialty: Gastroenterology Physician

Location: Greater Hartford Area, CT (Primary Hubs: Avon & Wethersfield)

Schedule: Full-Time. Call rotation ~1:9. Weekly structure: 2-3 procedure days, 1-2 clinic days/week; rotating 1:5 weekly hospital service.

Built on a strong primary care foundation with fully integrated subspecialties, the organization offers a physician-led infrastructure where strategic decisions are made collaboratively rather than by corporate directives.

We are currently seeking a Board Certified or Board Eligible Gastroenterologist to join our GI team including 4 physicians and 4 APPs. We have a highly cohesive team celebrated for exceptional longevity-where the most senior partner has served for 25 years and all remaining partners joined directly out of fellowship 6 to 10 years ago.

Replacing a retired founding physician, this growth-oriented role offers standard general GI practice with partnership potential. Providers enjoy an exceptional quality of life, complete administrative backing, and a true family-centric culture where every partner has remained long-term.

• Scope of Practice: Practice ~90% general GI with the optional capacity for mixed advanced procedures (ERCP/EUS ~10%), serving an adult patient panel with generous 15 to 45-minute appointment blocks and a 16-18 scope daily target.
• Clinical Support & Autonomy: Benefit from dedicated MAs, LPNs, RNs, and administrative staff who handle call-backs, clinical triage, and portal messages, allowing you to focus entirely on direct patient care while working alongside highly autonomous APPs.
• Work-Life Synergy: Enjoy a balanced schedule featuring a rotating 1:5 weekly inpatient service at St. Francis Hospital-supported by UConn GI Fellows and an inpatient APP-alongside an equitable, shared call structure of ~1:9.
• Academic & Leadership Growth: Hold faculty appointment options as Assistant Clinical Professor at the University of Connecticut School of Medicine, mentor GI fellows, and explore governance pathways within group leadership and committees.
• Locations: The position balances primary outpatient hubs in Avon and Wethersfield with scope time at our endoscopy center in Windsor, offering complete administrative backing and a true family-centric practice culture.
