Job Description:

Practice Lead: Dr. Covarrubias

Schedule: Full-Time (32 Clinical Hours / 4 Admin Hours), Monday-Thursday 8:00 AM-4:00 PM, Friday 8:00 AM-12:00 PM (No Weekends)

Position Overview: We are seeking a dedicated Nurse Practitioner or Physician Assistant to join our growing Family Medicine team. In this replacement role, you will work alongside Dr. Covarrubias and a deeply experienced, 30+ year tenured support staff to provide seamless continuity of care to a loyal, established patient panel.

Scope of Practice:

• Patient Population: Ages 18+ focusing on an established, middle-to-lower-income older patient demographic, Medicare beneficiaries, and chronic care management.
• Clinical Workflow: MAs provide 1:1 support for inbox triage, chart prep, and refills in Athena EMR; 20-minute follow-ups and 30-minute complex appointments.
• Clinical Procedures: Perform routine primary care procedures, including Pap smears (training available).
• Volume & Call: Clinical call is managed 24/7 by the Lead Physician via an answering service, resulting in minimal to no call burden (0-2 non-urgent calls/week).

Qualifications:

• Board Certified Nurse Practitioner (NP) or Physician Assistant (PA).
• Experienced providers preferred, but open to motivated new graduates.
• Active, unrestricted State License and DEA registration.
• Spanish proficiency preferred to complement our fully bilingual support team (not required).
