Job Description:
We are seeking a dedicated and experienced Licensed Clinical Social Worker (LCSW), Licensed Professional Counselor (LPC) or Master of Social Work (MSW) to join our team. This is a hybrid position, allowing you to provide high-quality mental health care from the comfort of your home while collaborating with our Rockville, MD-based practice.
As part of our team, you will work closely with two Clinical Psychologists to deliver short-term, evidence-based therapy focused on addressing current challenges faced by our clients. We emphasize brief, solution-focused therapy, ensuring clients receive the support they need to manage their immediate mental health concerns.
Responsibilities:
- Assessment and Evaluation: Conduct thorough assessments of clients' mental health needs, including history, presenting issues, and treatment goals.
- Individualized Treatment: Develop and implement personalized treatment plans using evidence-based therapeutic interventions.
- Therapeutic Counseling: Provide individual therapy sessions to clients, addressing a wide range of mental health concerns. Offer crisis intervention and support to clients in times of acute distress.
- Collaboration: Collaborate with interdisciplinary teams, including physicians, nurses, and other healthcare professionals, to ensure holistic care for clients.
- Record Keeping: Maintain accurate and up-to-date client records, progress notes, and treatment plans in compliance with legal and ethical standards.
- Client Advocacy: Advocate for clients' needs and rights, providing resources and referrals as necessary.
- Conditions Treated: Depression, anxiety, insomnia, loneliness, stress, grief, relationship difficulties, caregiving burden, lifestyle changes (diet and exercise), chronic medical illness management, and substance use concerns.
Qualifications:
- Master's degree in Social Work (MSW), LPC or LCSW license in the state of Maryland.
- Board Certified through the ASWB preferable
- Minimum of 2 years of post-graduate clinical experience.
- Proficiency in evidence-based therapeutic modalities.
- Strong interpersonal and communication skills.
- Ability to work independently in a remote setting while maintaining professional standards.
