Licensed Mental Health Therapist (LCSW, LPC)

Employment Type: Full-Time or Part-Time (Hybrid)

Prima Medicine is a patient-centered healthcare practice, focused on delivering comprehensive care. We are expanding our services to include mental health support and seek a qualified LCSW or LPC to join our team.

Position Summary:

The LCSW/LPC will provide mental health services in a hybrid setting. The role begins with 3 days in-office and 2 days remote for the first 90 days, transitioning to 2 days in-office and 3 days remote thereafter. The candidate will manage a caseload of patients dealing with a variety of mental health conditions, including eating disorders, body dysmorphia, weight management, anxiety, and depression.

Key Responsibilities:

  • Conduct psychosocial assessments and develop treatment plans.
  • Provide individual and group therapy as needed.
  • Collaborate with Primary Care Providers (PCPs) and Advanced Practice Providers (APPs).
  • Manage case coordination and patient progress reporting.
  • Offer crisis intervention and emergency psychiatric care when necessary.
  • Educate patients and families on mental health conditions.

Patient Volume:

  • Average: 6-8 patients per day.
  • Session lengths: Initial evaluations (45-60 mins), follow-ups (15-30 mins), therapy (30-60 mins).

Schedule:

  • Full-Time: 3 days in-office, 2 days remote for the first 90 days; 2 days in-office, 3 days remote thereafter.
  • Part-Time: Minimum of 3 in-office days per week.
  • Office hours: 8:00 AM - 5:00 PM (includes 1-hour lunch and admin time).

Qualifications:

  • LCSW/LPC with 2+ years of experience.
  • Expertise in treating eating disorders, body dysmorphia, weight management, anxiety, depression, and related conditions.
  • Licensed in Virginia.
