Job Description:

Nurse Practitioner (FNP or AGNP) - Geriatric and Nursing Home Care

Location: Catonsville, MD

Marcelino Albuerne, MD, "The Caring Practitioner," is seeking a dedicated and compassionate Nurse Practitioner (FNP or AGNP) to join our team in providing exceptional care to geriatric patients in Catonsville, MD. This is a fantastic opportunity for a motivated individual seeking flexibility and autonomy in their day-to-day schedule.

Schedule:

This full-time position operates Monday through Friday, 9:00 AM - 5:00 PM. The schedule includes rotating through nursing homes, with flexibility built into the weekly routine.

Key Responsibilities:

• Rotate through five different nursing home facilities located within 10 minutes of each other in Catonsville, MD, visiting at least two locations per day.
• Conduct comprehensive patient rounds, including full assessments.
• Manage patient medications effectively and safely.
• Perform minor procedures such as suturing, suture removal, wart removal, and Incision and Drainage (I&D).
• Manage an average daily patient volume of 18 patients.

Qualifications:

• Active and unrestricted Maryland state Nurse Practitioner license.
• Board Certification as a Family Nurse Practitioner (FNP) or Adult-Gerontology Nurse Practitioner (AGNP).
• At least 1-2 years of post-graduate experience, with a strong preference for experience in a nursing home or primary care setting.
• Demonstrated ability to collaborate effectively with a multidisciplinary team while also working autonomously.
