Virginia Premium Medical Care is a highly regarded internal medicine practice seeking a dedicated Nurse Practitioner or Physician Assistant to join our team on a part-time basis. We prioritize continuity and quality of care, offering an exceptional environment with low turnover and strong mentorship opportunities from our experienced supervising physicians.

Quick Look:

  • Schedule: Part-Time (approx. 3 days/week). Clinic hours are Monday - Friday, 8:30 AM - 4:00 PM.
  • Call/Weekends: No on-call requirements. Willingness to work 1 to 2 flexible Saturday morning shifts per month (8:30 AM - 1:30 PM, potentially via telehealth) is preferred.
  • Locations: Split between our outpatient clinics in Lansdowne and Reston, VA.

Practice Overview:

  • Supportive Environment: Work collaboratively alongside a team of 3 Board-Certified Physicians, 2 Nurse Practitioners, a Certified Health Coach, a Dietitian, and a robust, cross-trained support staff including Medical Assistants and an LPN.
  • Broad Scope of Care: Manage a diverse adult and geriatric patient panel (ages 18-100) with a focus on chronic care management and acute care. Enjoy extended appointment times (30-minute visits) during an initial ramp-up period to ensure quality care and a smooth onboarding process.
  • Clinical Duties: Provide comprehensive primary care with opportunities to incorporate special interests such as obesity medicine, hormone replacement therapy, body sculpting, and pelvic floor muscle treatments.
  • Professional Growth: This is a growth-oriented role with the potential to transition into a 4-day or full-time position in the future as the practice expands.
  • Compensation: Offering a market competitive hourly rate.

Qualifications:

  • Licensure: Active, unrestricted Virginia license (or eligibility to obtain).
  • Experience: 1-2 years of primary care practicing experience strongly preferred.
  • Attributes: Strong bedside manner, a relationship-based approach to care, and HIPAA compliance.
