Position Overview:

We are seeking a dedicated Licensed Clinical Social Worker (LCSW) or Licensed Professional Counselor (LPC) to join our growing Family Medicine team. In this specialized role, you will provide expert mental health support to our patients, working in close collaboration with Dr. O'Hatnick to ensure continuity of care and a comprehensive approach to whole-person healing.

Scope of Practice:

  • Patient Population: Teens and adults seeking trauma-informed, evidence-based mental health counseling.
  • Comprehensive Primary Care: Delivery of specialized psychotherapy targeting underlying causes of distress through neurological and trauma-informed methodologies.
  • Clinical Workflow: 60-minute appointments (53-55 minutes of therapy + time for charting) to ensure thorough documentation within 48 hours.
  • Clinical Procedures: Specialized psychotherapy, potential for team workshopping and integrative mental health care planning.
  • Volume & Call: Average of 5 to 6 patients per day (up to the clinician's preference); clinical call is not applicable to this position.

Qualifications

  • Licensure: Must be licensed in Maryland as an LCPC, LGPC, or LCSW-C (No LMSW at this time).
  • Clinical Training: Prior experience or a strong interest in becoming trained in EMDR, Brainspotting, or Somatic training.
  • Experience: 2 years of therapy experience is preferred; must have completed the NBCC exam.
  • Supervision: For LGPC candidates, Dr. O'Hatnick provides clinical supervision at no cost.
