Pulmonologist - Gaithersburg, MD
No ICU Coverage | Flexible Schedule | Partnership Opportunity
Join Pulmonologists, P.C., one of the largest physician-owned pulmonary and sleep medicine practices in Montgomery County. We are seeking a BC/BE Pulmonologist to join our experienced team in Gaithersburg. This role offers strong existing patient demand, a flexible schedule, zero ICU coverage, and an exceptional quality of life.
- Flexible Schedule Options: Choose a full-time or part-time schedule with 3-, 4-, or 5-day workweek options. Inpatient consults are structured flexibly around your clinic time, typically in half-day blocks 1-2 times per week.
- Balanced Clinical Focus: Practice approximately 80% outpatient pulmonary medicine and 20% inpatient consults across a broad scope, including asthma, COPD, ILD, pulmonary hypertension, and lung cancer.
- No ICU Coverage: Enjoy a schedule free of ICU requirements, with the flexibility to pursue outside critical care moonlighting if desired.
- Advanced On-Site Diagnostics: Utilize on-site chest X-ray, PFT, and ABG analysis, along with an established sleep center. Opportunities are available to incorporate Sleep Medicine or help develop advanced bronchoscopy services (EBUS, navigational bronchoscopy).
- Manageable Call Rotation: Maintain a great work-life balance with a 1:4 weekend call rotation featuring a light inpatient census.

Qualifications:
- MD or DO with Board Certification/Eligibility in Pulmonary Disease.
- Active Maryland license and DEA (or eligible to obtain).
- Sleep Medicine training or board certification is a plus, but not required.
