Job Description:
Our long established family medicine practice in Columbia, SC is seeking a skilled and compassionate FNP to join our team. In this role, you will deliver high-quality primary care services, performing comprehensive evaluations, managing chronic and acute conditions, and collaborating closely with our dedicated physicians and clinical staff to foster long-term patient relationships.
Scope of Practice:
- Patient Population/Demographics: Serving a broad community ranging from pediatric patients (as young as 6 months) through adolescents, young families, and older adults, including a robust Medicare population.
- Common Pathologies/Conditions: Management of acute illnesses, routine preventive care, chronic disease management, wound care, and general family medicine concerns.
- Procedures: In-office minor procedures as appropriate under local anesthesia (e.g., incision and drainage, skin biopsies, sutures). On-site support includes a full phlebotomist, in-house lab testing, and convenient access to imaging services.
- Schedule: 4.5 day work week, no weekends
Qualifications:
- Certification: Board Certification as a Nurse Practitioner (FNP)
- Experience: Open to both experienced providers and promising new graduates with strong clinical backgrounds; training and support are available.
- Licensure: Active South Carolina state medical license and DEA registration.
- Attributes: A proactive, "no task is too small" team mentality, combined with strong communication skills and a patient-first ethos.
